There's something special about working with a movie playing in the background. For some of us, it started long before streaming. It was the 3pm movie on All India Radio, that familiar "Shabda Rekha" announcement, or old cassettes filled with audio films that played over and over until every scene lived in memory. Later it became television, then YouTube, but somewhere along the way the simple habit of putting on a movie turned into endless searching, choosing, and losing focus before the work even began.
This brings that feeling back in a simpler way. You tune in, and something is already playing, like switching on a channel that was never really off. No browsing, no queue, no deciding what comes next. Bands add just enough choice, with curated channels built around genres, moods, themes, and different kinds of cinematic energy.
This is a free and open project built for people who work, think, and create with movies in the background. The library grows through the people who use it, and anyone is welcome to contribute, add films, shape existing Bands, or start entirely new ones.
